I I like my landscapes to appear timeless, and so I try to avoid seeing anything in the image that will date it, people, cars, etc. I want a landscape to look in 20 years from now as if it had just been photographed. There are exceptions, of course, some times the addition of a person is unavoidable, even essential, as in the boat on a misty River Thames, shown in the portfolio, which was photographed early one morning close to my home.
